About

An amateur's notebook about herons, egrets and the other patient birds of rivers and lakes. Updated whenever there is something worth writing down — sometimes weekly, sometimes not for a season.

Photographs are not for sale and not for reuse, but feel free to say hello if you watch the same birds.
